On its stand at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show, among the 30 production vehicles and concept cars on display over the 2,700 m2, Peugeot is unveiling five world premieres, including the brand-new 4008 SUV.
With its distinctive appearance and its 4×4 SUV capabilities, the 4008, with more than 70% of sales expected to come from outside Europe, is a response to the needs of all-terrain vehicle customers, in the compact SUV segment.
Born of the PSA Peugeot Citroёn – Mitsubishi partnership, the 4008 has a strong, identifiable Peugeot personality. A successful balance: the new stylistic codes are applied judiciously, the ‘adventurous’ character is emphasised by a grille of vertical design, with body sill protectors and functional wheel arch extension trims. The interior of the 4008, enhanced by the choice of materials and the richness of the equipment, has a glass panoramic roof, giving occupants an exclusive ambience. Its compactness (length: 4.34m), gives good manoeuvrability, and its passenger space, make it a particularly versatile vehicle, equally suited to everyday use and leisure pursuits.
The 4008’s range has the choice of four engines (two diesel, two petrol), in European markets, with selectable electronic 4×4 transmission. With record low CO2 emissions in its category, the 4008 is a modern SUV that is capable of operating economically and efficiently in a multitude of different environments and locations.
