Chevrolet revealed the Colorado High Country STORM just ahead of the 38th Bangkok International Motor Show. The STORM is Chevrolet’s new top-of-the-line truck in Thailand.

The Colorado High Country STORM will make its public debut and Chevrolet will announce its price at the 38th Bangkok International Motor Show, which runs from March 29 to April 9. The Colorado High Country STORM is the best Chevrolet truck in Thailand,” said Wail A. Farghaly, managing director of GM Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand. “Actually, it is more than just a truck. For owners, it will become a statement of who they are.”

Based on the Colorado High Country trim, with the new Blue Me Away body color, the STORM package enhances the truck’s capability and functionality. It includes a sport bar, 18-inch alloy wheels, door handles, a tailgate handle, outer belt moulding and a rear bumper with a parking sensor all in black.

The Colorado High Country STORM is powered by a 2.5L Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. With a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), it produces 180 horsepowers at 3,600 rpm and 440 Nm of torque at a low 2,000 rpm. The Euro 4-compliant engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with a choice of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

Safety remains a priority for Chevrolet, and the Colorado High Country STORM reflects this with a host of safety features that include front air bags for the driver and passenger along with a knee air bag for the driver, the Traction Control System (TCS), Panic Brake Assist (PBA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-Rolling Protection (ARP), Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA). Other features include Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Front and Rear Parking Assist, and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

The Colorado High Country STORM is also equipped with a wide array of convenience features, including front-park assist and a reverse camera that aid maneuvering in tight urban confines, auto rain sensors, automatic headlamp on/off and a first-in-class remote-start function. In addition, it comes with advanced technologies such as the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, the Apple CarPlay application, Siri Eyes Free and front windows that automatically drop a fraction to facilitate door closing.
