SHOW MUST GO ON
Organised by the Sabah Four Wheel Drive Association, South East Asia’s biggest extreme offroading event with over 500 participants and 200 vehicles convoy in 2012 is back with another exciting year promising more fun and adventure for participants from the October 27th till November 3rd this year.
From October 25th to 27th, 2013, the 2nd Borneo Outdoor Show 2013 will be held at Dataran Bandaraya in the heart of Kota Kinabalu city fronting the South China Sea.
The locations is ideal for the public and tourist at large to visit the show and at the same time witness the largest convoy of Borneo Safari 4WD vehicles, more than 250 of them during the flagging of ceremony on the November 27th, 2013. This year’s show will most definitely attract even more outdoor enthusiast, members of the public and curious tourist by the accessible of its location.
The convoy this year will spend 8 days conquering the extreme highland terrains of the Trus Madi Forest Reserve, located 70 kms away from Kota Kinabalu and is bordered by three districts – Ranau up North, Tambunan on the West, Keningau down South, and Sook in the East. The forest reserve is classified as a Class 1 Forest Reserve and it covers 184,527 hectares of land. Standing within the reserve at 2,642 meters (8,668 feet) tall, Mount Trus Madi is the second highest mountain in Sabah and Malaysia after Mount Kinabalu but offer a tougher challenge for adventure seekers compared to Mount Kinabalu.
