THE FIRST ZERO-EMISSION DAKAR TRUCK
Gaussin presents the H2 Racing Truck designed by Pininfarina, the most powerful 100% hydrogen and electric racing truck built so far.
Gaussin’s hydrogen system has been developed for an ultra-light chassis designed around the hydrogen and electric powertrain, based on the modular skateboard launched last April. The racing truck is powered by two e-motors of 300 kW each, getting energy from fuel cells of 380 kW and batteries of 82 kWh.
The volume of the hydrogen tank is 80 kg and it can be recharged in 20 minutes with a specific hydrogen cooling station. The maximum speed of the racing truck is 140 km/h in compliance with regulations and has a range of 250 km in race conditions.
It will compete at the 2022 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia in January. The data and information collected during the 2022 Dakar Rally will be used to further develop Gaussin’s range of road trucks scheduled for launch from 2022.
