CITROËN TO UNVEIL C-XR CONCEPT
The C-XR Concept, unveiled at this year’s Beijing Motor Show, previews the first SUV developed jointly between Citroën and the DongFeng Motor Group.
The Citroën C-XR Concept features compact styling with an assertive SUV look. The body of C-XR features ideal dimensions: 4.26 m of length, 1.79 m width and height of 1.56 m. With the longest wheelbase in the segment at 2.65 m, the C-XR provides outstanding spaciousness, particularly noticeable for rear passengers. The concept also features raised ground clearance with large 17-inch wheels.
Drivers are seated in a natural, saloon-style driving position with the raised ground clearance providing a commanding view of the road. The suspension settings effortlessly absorb road imperfections for optimal ride comfort. A large glass panoramic roof also floods the cabin with soft, filtered light.
The Citroën C-XR Concept is fitted with Grip Control technology. Combined with the All Seasons tyres, the system manages optimal traction of the wheels on all types of ground without resorting to a four-wheel-drive system that would increase fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The powertrain combines a THP 160 petrol engine with Stop&Start and a latest generation automatic gearbox that delivers enjoyable performance with reduced fuel consumption.
