FAREWELL TO THE ICON
As a farewell to the legendary off-road icon Land Rover Defender after a 68-year production run, Startech presents an exclusive special model in a limited edition of just 68 vehicles worldwide.
The Startech SIXTY8 is based on the Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon – either on the five-seater or seven-seater variant. The limited edition sets itself apart from the rest on account of its “Corris Grey Metallic” body with a roof painted in contrasting “Santorini Black”, and tinted panoramic glazing for all rear windows.
The Series 3.1 appearance package lends the Defender an exciting vintage look reflecting the style of the unforgotten Land Rover Series 3 built between 1971 and 1984. Designers sculpted a new front, which transfers the design idiom of the classic model with the unmistakable shape of its radiator grille to modern times. The black painted radiator grille, bumper and air intakes in the front fenders as well as a robust aluminum underride guard with laser-engraved SIXTY8 logo lend the Land Rover an even more distinctive face.
The interior was customized to the same extent with an exclusive “Tan Light Brown” and “Ebony Black” all-leather interior with ergonomic sports seats and diamond quilting. The equipment features also include an Alpine multimedia system with 3D navigation and backup camera.
The powertrain combines a 2.2-liter turbodiesel `engine rated at 90 kW / 122 HP and producing a peak torque of 360 Nm, a six-speed manual gearbox with additional off-road reduction gear and permanent all-wheel drive with inter-axle differential lock.
